This is one of my favorite posts of yours. I also feel like everyone I know is writing a book or planning to at some point. I agree that it's a great project if it's done for the right reasons, although distinguishing which reasons are "right" can be difficult. I think this is true wisdom: "Changing your goals is not settling, it's accepting the world you're living in." The line between persistent and stubborn is another one of those that's very fine, and we have to be careful not to cross it. Great post, Carlos!

Change is always going to happen and people love to resist it. Once you recognize this fact of life you are able to change almost before major change happens, you become one step ahead of the game of life.
I would say I'm both persistent and stubborn -- but not stubborn because I refuse to shift my goals or go with the change, stubborn because I refuse to resist change. Being young its easy to say that, I hope I keep the same morals as I grow older.

I am persistently stubborn ;) It's really true though, I walk the fine line between both! I'm willing to goal shift, I have before, but usually if I set out my mind to do something I rarely back down. I'm stubborn, have pride and believe in things so much that I can't imagine not finishing them...unless it's totally out of the question and really beyond my control.
