Most huge changes I’ve been faced with have more than one way of viewing them, and usually it is one perspective that makes the change seem terrifying and impossible to cope with. When I acknowledge that there are other perspectives that, despite how I may have been raised, are every bit as legitimate (because we’re all sort of making this up as we go along), most changes start to seem rational. Most of them start to blend in with my life, making it a lot more colorful and a lot more fun.

What’s that way overused quote by Darwin? Something about survival of the fittest isn’t necessarily about being bigger, faster, stronger; far more frequently it’s been a matter of being more adaptable to change.

Another great one, Carlos. Since you highlighted “They think about the consequences,” you got me thinking… I wonder if we thought about all the consequences before quitting our job and heading to Vermont for a new life? Hmm… too late now, I guess; so we’ll just say that we did.
