The Wave Myth

I’m putting an end to this myth:

You can’t miss the wave, unless you choose to. The wave is not that fast.

A wave is a new mindset, not a new tool.

People don’t change their minds overnight, you have plenty of time to catch up.

Don’t worry about being on top of things, worry about understanding which waves you should ride and which ones you should avoid.

99% of the time, focus and persistence beat novelty and diversification.

I tend to agree with you; many people misinterpret the wave as technology itself. New products seem to come out literally on a daily basis and a person could get overwhelmed with the choices……….. or they could just sit back and take it all in, then once an understanding is reached, make a well informed decision.

Yes, that second choice is definitely more appealing.

I think the key is not drowning.

Most people don’t catch the wave because they are used to the water and don’t know what the shore is going to be like.

Instead of riding waves…why not just create your own. ;-)

Good post as always Carlos!

I think we can make a splash, but a wave is the results of many people’s changes.

Ahhh..but one splash, can make one wave. :) And sometimes, one small wave is all it takes to make a big impact.

Waves will always be part of our life. Most of the time we ride on the wrongs waves and we are not even aware of it. Understanding takes time; and the first key is awareness. :-)
