Tomorrow I’ll be posting my 100th spark.
I was planning on posting this when I hit that number, but since it’s a guest post and I already made the commitment I decided to do it one day earlier.

First of all, thank you.
For the support, the ideas and the frequent disagreements. Those things keep me going, and I don’t see the end anytime soon.
For those of you that read me frequently, you know that my post “Thank You and Good Bye, Seth Godin” was a big hit.
There, I talk about how we should cut ties with anyone that we follow religiously, with anyone that we no longer question.
Breakthroughs are born in individuality, not in worshiping.
So, here’s your chance:
If you feel in any way that you are no longer questioning me, please unsubscribe (I tried to find a link to do it, but failed completely. If anyone knows how to find such a link, please let me know).
I’m skeptical that I have reached that point at all, I don’t think anyone feels that way about my content yet (or maybe ever will), but if there’s even one of you who has ceased to question what I say, then leave.
I want you to do great things.
Hopefully, this will come off as caring instead of arrogant. I am completely aware of how much I need to improve and how far away from being followed religiously I am.
But I want my message to be clear from start: if we don’t think for ourselves, it will all go to waste.
Thank you for your time.
For those of you that leave, good for you and good luck!
And for everyone who is left (to quote Seth), “I’ll keep trying to ask hard questions.”
Best,
Carlos
PS: I will post something similar every one hundred sparks.

Sorry dude, not gonna stop following your sight. I like your short posts better than Seth Godin’s the material is consistently good. Besides, I’ll let you know when you say something I disagree with.
That’s nice to hear, thanks Justin. Looking forward to your disagreements.
Don’t worry, I wholeheartedly plan to keep making you work hard to convince me of everything!
I knew I could count with you, mi amigo!
I guess I must stay. I look forward to picking fights with you Carlos. “Mentally I’m physical”
I guess that’s cool.
Leave? You’re stuck with me buddy! Thanks to Elisa. If it wasn’t for her, I would have never found this site filled with uniqueness. Your writing Challenges my mind and holds my attention. Why would I leave? So, if anyones leaves, I’ll be taking their place. Congrats on your 100th spark! Can’t wait to read it! Thank you for your Inspiring writing.
Thank you so much for the support Cheila, it’s good to have you on the other side!
Why wouldn’t I?
Carlos, congratulations! This is truly amazing. I’m so proud of you. I remember when you were writing a guest post back in March for my inspiration series and I couldn’t link to your blog because it wasn’t in English yet and this one wasn’t up. You’ve come so far and really revolutionized how you blog, think and push others to think.
I really like how you say we learn by thinking for ourselves, not worshiping others. However, I think that if we don’t take the knowledge of others we won’t learn new and different ideas. That is why I don’t want to unsubscribe from your blog, ever. Even if you’re doing a lot of thinking for me, there’s no way I would stop thinking my own thoughts or paving the way. It’s important to learn from others. That’s how everyone gets by. No one gets by at it completely isolated and alone. Thanks for being part of the community and being such a force.
Grace, you blow me away. You know I consider you a friend, and that I value and respect your opinion profoundly. I realize that what I did with Seth’s blog, may not be the best solution for everyone, so maybe I should let everyone be and stop underestimating them. See? Because you spark this thoughts is why you’re awesome. Thank you girl.
I remember your series, writing it was definitely very fun and challenging. It was my first english post!
Yeah for Spark 100! Not much else to say…I’ve all but forsaken Google Reader at this point..mostly because of information overload. Creativity cannot fly if we don’t give it room to spread its wings.
The outlined thought process you present here is hardly cluttering my soul or my brain, however. I’ll take it as further encouragement and read on. Happy 100th post, Carlos.
Well, that’s good then Chelsie, I’m glad this can encourage you. Thanks for being there.
Keep asking the questions that need to be asked Carlos. It’s not about finding the answers, it’s about sparking thoughts and discussion – which you continue to do extremely well. Rock on!
Absolutely Matt, the answers are meaningless, people can come up with them on their own. Thanks for the support man.
Thank you! This is the first post of yours that I read….need to work back through the previous 99…then I’ll decided whether or not to pull the plug. BUT must say I came to the same conclusion as you a long time ago and stopped following many of my previous favourites on twitter. Trying to let variety and serendipity be the spice of [my] life.
Variety is the currency of innovation. Good for you Tina.
Boy! I hope I never get to the point where I stop questioning you, ’cause I don’t want to unsubscribe! Your sparks always fascinate me, so I’m sticking around as long as I can.
Nice to have you on the other side Lisis!
